Through the miracle called Google, the twin engine aircraft was identified as a North American B-25H Mitchell bomber. The website www.warbirdregistry.org shows this aircraft owned by Richard Lambert (a 1966 Will County rural directory identified Francis Lambert as the resident of this property). The history of this B-25H is located at http://www.warbirdregistry.org/b25reg.... In later years, the aircraft was eventually restored an is now called "Barbie III".
A very interesting history of the farm can be found here: https://vintageaerial.com/photos/illi...
The grass runway was about a quarter-mile long, running north-south (left-right) and started just to the south (left) of the hangars. The hangar next to the barn still survives.
