We own this house since 1996. It was a 4 room log house with a kitchen & bath added on The back. The siding was removed from the house to expose beautiful original logs. The fireplace was removed from between the rooms and moved to the outter wall. The barn was torn down in 1996 ( only because the middle was caved in and we could not get insurance unless it was removed).
In 2009, we put poplar wood siding over the logs. The base of the logs were beginning to decay so we treated them an covered them to protect them from water damage. We built a porch around 3 sides of the original building.
We added 2 bedrooms, a living room and another bathroom onto the back.
