That's my grandparents farm!! Barney and Ruth Rentschler's old farm!! Thanks for saving these old pictures!! Most of the buildings except the long polebarn are gone.
We moved here October, 1976. When we moved in, all these buildings were here. The house was light yellow. This is where all our children grew up. The kids rode their bikes through the grain bin west of the house and had a pony, Brownie, that we kept in the barn north of the house. I have the original history of the home and when it was built. We had the fire dept. burn down the barn as it was becoming very dilapidated and unsafe. We lived there for 31 years, moving in 2007 to Rochester. It was a wonderful homestead to raise our children! It definitely holds a lot of memories.
