This Farm was named THREE OAKS because of the 3 Oak trees at the edge of the garden next to the large grassy area we called the "Ball Field". Three Oaks was owned by Roy and Jean Lavengood until 1999. As a boy my brothers and I and kids our age from Swayzee played Football and Baseball on the "Ball Field" and used the Oak Trees as shade in the summer while waiting to bat. After the farm was sold it was split in half and there now is a house built on The Old Ball Field. The place is still missed by all of us who grew up there.
We played lots of football there, remember those times well.
