My childhood home, rented to my parents in 1968. I lived in that home until I married, my parents both lived there until they passed away. My mother passed away in July 2013 and my father in December 2014. The love they had for this farm was great - they took pride in making it beautiful. Dad loved to mow and mom planted and groomed the flowers until she was unable to do it any longer. Dad continued to mow until the fall before he passed away, he kept a garden and when he was able he has an abundance of Christmas lights that the neighbors enjoyed. They were able to stay in the home because their son purchased the home. The memories of that beautiful farm is so much more than just a house.
