This was the farm and farmhouse I(and 3 brothers) grew up on from 1952 on. The white barn said "Carey Farms" on the side. Lowell & Minnie Carey were my grandparents and they bought the land during the depression because Lowell didn't trust banks but said land would always be here. My parents William & Helen McColgin farmed it from 1952 until dad retired in 1984 and they lived on the farm until 2006 when they moved to assisted living. The property was then rented. I graduated in 1966 and have never had a picture with all of these buildings. All of the buildings are now gone and it is rapidly becoming Westgate Subdivision
