My exhusband, Mike Merlau, worked yhere for his family when they bought it on 1985 until they closed it I think in 2011. I worked there 2000-2006. There are now 2 large grain bins there and the train tracks are gone. Many memories.
I worked there for 10 years when the Merlau's owned and operated it. Great family to work for and with. Lots of great memories, wish it had never closed.
use to ride our bikes to the little office building on hoy summer days and purchase ice cold coca-colas for 25 cents in a glass bottle
We would ride our horses there to get them weighed in the mid-70s. Later, we bought feed there for our kids' 4H projects.
Bought our coonhound (trooper) food at the store. I loved the old wood floors and the sweet girl who worked the register. When I was pregnant, she’d carry the bag the my car. 2010
This site has been cleared and is being used to build a parking lot for the church that took over the fitness center off highway 40.
