This farm was located on the south side of 700 N. It has since been demolished and replaced with a subdivision. The house in the subdivision closest to this farm house's location is:
6935 Black Cherry Terrace
Brownsburg, IN, 46112
Research into local records and historic atlases indicates that this was likely the house and farm of Harry M. Garner (1884-1933) and Susan L. Jenkins Garner (1884-1931). The style of the home and tax records point to a build date of around 1919. It appears the house and farm passed onto their daughter Lillian Garner Batz (1907-1983) and her husband Chester William Batz (1909-2003). Please offer corrections if you are reading this and anything is incorrect.
Prior to entering the Garner family in 1907, this land was the site of the Jesse W. Denny (1831-1908) and Susan McClain Denny (1833-1903) homestead.
