My parents ( James & Lorraine Ott ) built this house in 1963. They sold it & moved into the town of Danville in 1972.

Hi Jeff! How fascinating that your parents built this house in 1963. We'd love to hear more about your memories growing up in Hendricks County. Do you recall any changes or significant events in the area since the photo was taken in 1983? Were there any particular crops or farming activities on the property during that time?

A lot has happened since this photo was taken in 1983. U.S. 36 opened a 4 lane version in 1984 . . the same year I graduated high school. Hendricks County has grown by leaps & bounds since 1983. As far as this property . . . there used to be farm fields directly across the street in 1963 - the early 80's . . . but housing had started taking over by 1983. Most of the farm fields across the street have been divided into 5 - 10 acre lots & is mostly developed nowadays.
