For years, this place was known as Sunny Acres. It is located in Clear Creek Township, Huntington County, Indiana. My paternal grandparents, Paul and Lucile (Thorne) Howenstine built the house and barn in 1917, when they married. They owned this farm until 1952. My father, Alan Howenstine, lived there from when he was born in 1924 until 1952 when we moved to adjacent Warren Township. I was born there in 1948 and lived there until 1952.
