My grandparents, Arnold and Blanche Chase, lived in the small house near the bend in the road (outhouse at the back). The neighboring house and white barn was situated on a farm owned by Grace Langhorst when I was a child. The barn across the road was situated on a farm owned by Roy Sheldon when I was a child. My grandmother told me stories of the Sheldon Farm operating a fine restaurant known as "The Pines" which was famous for it's chicken dinners when she was young. The house was situated on a knoll surrounded by tall pine trees. I wish there was a picture of the house because it was beautiful. The structures in this photo have since been destroyed by fire or demolished.
