This is my father's farm where I grew up. He purchased it in the late 1950s and we moved there in 1963. The house in the picture was built in 1973-4, directly in front of the original farmhouse that started as a log cabin and was added onto over the years. You can tell that the house is pretty new because the trees are so tiny. The grain leg has been replaced with a larger one and the grain bins are much bigger now too. Those additions caused the "grainary" building by the bins to be torn down to make room for those changes. The teardrop-shaped grass in the center of the "lane" is gone now too - larger farm equipment and semis needed more room. The barn has been remodeled twice since this picture - first to reinforce the structure in 1991, and then an addition added to the left side in 2014 to allow for storage of larger farm equipment. My father still owns it and lives there now (2017).
