The 80 acre farm associated with this homestead was purchased during the depression by my maternal grandparents, Leroy and Ruth Jackson. Grandpa farmed it for about 40 years. The building to the north of the house was a double chicken coop; the small building to the right of the entrance lane the granary. Currently all buildings are gone and a trailer sits near where the barn was.
