This was my dad, Merrill Dean’s farm in 1979. It was in the Dean family from 1928 til 2017; Dad was born in the house in 1929, to Charles and Beulah (Carder) Dean, and he lived there til he passed in 2015. The photo is looking toward the east. The farther left barn has been gone a long time, and I heard the big one blew over in a storm this year (2019). It was a pegged barn, original framework was probably turn of the century, pre-1900, and the current owners Frank and David Jones gave me some of the pegs as mementos.
The property farther east beyond the corn crib once belonged to Belle Williamson; Dad purchased her acres sometime in the ‘60’s I believe.
