This was Latty United Church of Christ, approx. 5 miles north of Burlington, on Irish Ridge Road. We lived not far from the church, and my maternal and paternal grandparents, as well as my family attended church there, my mom and youngest sibling until the church closed. The church was torn down several years after it closed. The cemetery is still maintained, the stone wall with hitching rings remains. Vandals tried to steal the bell, which had been mounted on a special platform, in 2017. It will be repaired and replaced in the near future. I have many fond memories of services at this country church and of the people who attended. The Christmas Eve services were always full, and especially meaningful as neighbors and friends old and new attended.
Was confirmed here and my grandparents are buried here, yes the Christmas Eve service was always special.
