I moved away from this farm in 1957 when I went off to college. My dad, Jim Carlson, sold the farm some years later, probably before this picture was taken in 1974. I helped my dad build the machine shed, the white building in the foreground about 1951; the house was new in about 1960; the old 40-foot barn previously stood east of the silo (this photo is looking generally north). The barn burned down after I had left--I don't remember when.
