I'm pretty sure this is my parents house. We moved here in 1995. This photo would have been very shortly after it was built. It is now surrounded by forest my mom planted before she died.

What kind of trees did your mom plant? What was your favorite part of the house?

Oh, she grew everything in that two acres! Oak, weeping willow, poplar, birch, many lilac bushes, and so many flowers. She definitely left a legacy there. My favorite thing about the house was being in the middle of nowhere. As far as inside the house, my favorite part was either lounging by the fireplace in the sunroom located at the back of the house, or roller skating in the partially underground basement.
