This is my parents, Ronald and Lorna Loutsch, both deceased. Three brothers still live on the farm which is no longer a working farm for them.
Someone else is farming some of the land. Part of it is a wild life reserve owned by the state of Iowa. I'm the oldest of 15 ranging in age from 61-39. My parents moved on this farm when I was 5. They had to add a bathroom to the original house. In 1972 they moved a neighbors house onto the place and added it to the East side of the original house with an additional expansion between the two houses to accommodate the size difference. They also dug under the original house and put a basement under there and the added house with a steps to walk outside of the basement. We ran a grade a dairy farm from about 1961-2009. We also where all in 4-H and showed dairy, sheep, rabbits, and horses.
We also raised hogs, geese, ducks, chickens, and honey bees. This picture hangs in the house still today. It is located about 7 miles east of Westfield, Iowa.

Your family let me fish in the pond there back in the 90s. I thought at one time the pond was to be drained to make a bigger county pond downstream. Very nice family and great fishing. And our names are pronounced the same.

This property belongs to the state of Iowa as a wild life resource. The buildings are abandoned.

This is was my grandparents place. Are these copies still available?

This farm has been taken down by the government as part of their watershed project. I would like a print of this photo.
