I lived in this house from about 1963 to about 1972. My Dad built the garage. We had a couple horses, a cow, some pigs, too many chickens, cats and a faithful black lab named Max. We had a huge garden and canned most of our vegetables for the year. The rhubarb grew prolifically and we turned it into wine, cakes, pies, jams and about every thing else you can think of. The acreage also provided us with apples and apricots. I would ride my horse down to "Big Crick" when it really was just a crick (or creek as some of you might call it). Led my colt onto the front porch and couldn't understand why Mom wouldn't let me bring her inside the house. Lots of memories from this big, ol' house.
