This is the Kroeger farm in Gladbrook, Tama County, IA. My brother was born in March of 1972, the year this was taken. I was born two years later. My Dad bought this farm from his parents and worked very hard raising cattle and growing corn, soybeans and alfalfa. I think this could possibly be the most peaceful place on earth and I have many wonderful fond memories. Churning ice cream by hand with my Dad in the summer, painting the machine shed, playing "school" in the hay mow with my brother, even "swimming" in the stock tank as a toddler and licking the cow's salt block in the farmyard are memories I'll always hold dear.
