This was my childhood home from 1962, The wonderful porch, got swept every day. The fur trees, so fun to play under with their family scent. The dairy barn, shed where calves were kept, hog house. The implement shed where my basketball goal hung, and shot hoops, even tin the winter. My brother's bedroom window which I broke out accidently, while throwing a softball onto the roof and catching it with my beloved baseball glove. My bedroom window, where I sat many days and evenings, looking from the lavender colored walls at the world around me. love seeing the field in the background. It reminds me of my father, Dale Steele, and his commitment to soil conservation. The front yard, where the last picture of my Dad was taken before he lost both arms in a hay baler, a few days later in 1975, as he was letting 2 year old son drive his riding lawn mower as he walked beside it. My parents are Dale and Jean Steele. Dale died in April, 2007. Thank you.
