This farm was purchased in 1940 by Ralph P. and Myrtle G. Morris from Sneed Kinslow though the deed was not recorded until 1942. The farm totaled 212 acres and went down to the old road 252 and to Beaver Creek which is to the lower right of the large barn and corn crib. In 1963 the 120 acre field along Beaver Creek was sold to the Government for the Barren River reservoir. In 2006 most of the remaining 92 acres was sold in parcels by the estate of Myrtle Morris with her son Arnold purchasing 2 tracts totaling about 20 acres. These tracts were sold by his estate in June, 2019. As of summer 2020 I am told that only the large stock barn in the picture remains.
