My father used to own this station around 1958-59. It was a Gulf Oil Station at that time. He acquired it from Tommy Thompson. Doodle Robinson worked for Tommy for several years and also worked for my father. During that time Doodle was changing a tractor tire in the garage and somehow it blew up in his face. He was incapacitated for a very long time. My dad got the opportunity to help bring city water to the area and sold the station to Doodle Robinson. He ran it until it was eventually torn down and sold. The Citizens Bank now sits on this site.
