The old farmhouse on the top left of the picture is where all 15 of the Lawrence children were raised. The farm was divided around 1970 and my parents built the house on the top right of the picture.
The property was not junk filled when we lived in the old farmhouse. Fortunately the current owners have it cleaned up and looking beautiful now.
This property is actually in Nelson County not Bullitt County
The farm was purchased in late 1950 by Jim and Cecilia Lawrence for $8,000. They moved there with their 6 children in November , 1950 from Pleasure Ridge Park just South of Louisville. They eventually had 9 more children while living on this farm. The farm had 108 acres, and is actually in Nelson County, but is adjacent to the Bullitt County line.
