My parents bought this house and acreage in 1954. The house was reportedly over 100 years old at that time. We had to sell it in 1958 or 1959, and sold to the Plattners. The current address is believed to be 6231 Four Mile Road, Melbourne, KY. At the time that we owned it, we had a rural address, RR1 Box 247, Melbourne, KY. The next couple of pictures are of the same property, with different viewpoints. I was just a kid but I believe the total acreage was a little over 7 Acres.

The Plattners were able to refurbish and upgrade the barn and the house and property that my mother was unable to do, after my father passed away in 1957.
