This originally was the home of the first E.V. Holder . This is Belair Subdivision in Black Oak.

Do you remember the address of the home? Could you explain what an E.V. Holder is?

In the town of Vanceburg, Mr. E. V. Holder was an attorney and lived in this house. I moved there in 1967 and he was living there at the time. His family was well known in Vanceburg, and his son ( deceased) and grandson continued to practice law here. This house is located in Belair Subdivision.
The house is still occupied although none of the Holders have lived there for many years.
