This is my home in Dwarf Ky,Combs Branch My mom Ethel Jones bought this place when i was a teen. The house is no longer there and itâs looks somewhat different now,My mom has gone to heaven and My Baby brother owns the property and his family and my Sister also has a mobile home there.I love this pic it warms myâ¤ï¸.Thank you for this heirloom!!
This may be part of the old Jeff Engle farm. If so, this parcel was dedicated to crops in the 40's and 50's when I was growing up on Combs' Branch. Jeff's widow, Hulda "Aunt Mink" lived acroos the creek in the mouth of Short Fork. I clearly rememeber seeing sorgum being turned into molasses in the middle of the bottom, and Julius Ritchie and I would hunt for arrowheads in that same bottom. Sometimes, we would stop on our way home from school and hunt until darkness drove us home.
My mom purchased this property from the Tuckerâs n yes Julis Ritchie still resides across the creek on the right fork of the road .Thats ironic because we refer to our home place as The Bottom!!
I forgot to add my name on above statment
