This is the Newtown Grocery in Scott County, Ky. Located in a small community called Newtown on US 460 about 5 miles East of Georgetown. In the 60's into the 70's it was owned and operated by Leon and Ruth Wright. It was bought in 1978 by David and Lenora Thompson (my in-laws), who operated it as a small grocery, gas station and deli until around 1993. It was operated by a couple of other tenants over the next few years until it was totally closed around 2002.
