This is Bethesda Presbyterian Church at Muddyford.
This church building was erected in 1882 on land purchased from Eli Muddiman. The roof was lowered around 1973. The first church building was on the corner of Turkeyfoot and Muddyford Road on land donated by Samuel and Susan Barnhill. That church was known as the Cumberland Presbyterian and Methodist church. That church burnt in 1872 and for the next ten years, church and Sunday school were held in the Muddyford school.
