We moved to this house (owned by Lawrence Sachleben) in January (I think) of 1974 and lived there until 1987. Growing up there was the best! My brother, Mike, and I had complete run of the Mr. Sachleben's farm, which included woods, creeks, ponds, pastures, etc. The main rule to remember was close the gates so the cows stayed where they were! The farm behind us - back the gravel road shown in the picture - had a herd of buffalo! My Dad (Richard Dunaway) planted a Water Maple in the lower yard near the fence because it was always damp there. The tree is still there and quite large now. Unfortunately, the house has not been kept up and its condition is badly deteriorated. The truck in the driveway is a 1964 Chevy that Dad bought from Billy Consley. The car is a brown 1972 Pontiac Catalina that Dad bought from Wendell Leach. I believe the white spot near the elm tree in the front yard is the dog we had at the time, Tina, that was an American Eskimo.
