Bailey Island, Maine. Top of the hill across from Cook's Motel. Formerly the Log Cabin Restaurant.
Before being converted into the Log Cabin Restaurant by Lee Therberge, for owner/operator Sue Favreau, this was a summer home for a family named Weisman. I believe they were from Lewiston.
It is now the Log Cabin Island Inn. Family owned for 43 years!
Hi Sue,
Does the Log Cabin Island Inn look the same today as it did 56 years ago? Are there any big plans for the property?
The main building looks the same except we added on in 1979 to add a kitchen. In the 90’s we renovated and put 5 rooms in and became an inn. Two more buildings were added after. It’s now a nine room inn.
