John Doore farm in early years. Now home of Vern and Betty Hodgkins. Location SouthAtkinson.

Oh my goodness! This is my home. I can't believe I'm seeing this picture as I remember it from childhood! I can even see a tractor in the field, that has to be my Dad, John Doore Jr. I see the Big Barn, the "tie up" for the cattle, the shop, the ice house, even a little building in the orchard that once had pigs. I can see potato barrels in the field, Dad must be digging potatoes. Yes, I can see a digger behind the tractor. This brings back so many memories....so many memories. <3

Sandra Doore LaFerriere.

I was born in that house---many memories--loved the many maple trees lining both sides of the country road -
John Doore was my Papa-good to the core was he---

That was me standing on the porch

I was born in this house as well, on July 19, 1940, just 10 years after my Aunt Frances. Frances can remember it but I can't. I think I was the last one of the family born there.

My ex, Cynthia Hodgkins and her sisters grew up here and their parents, Betty and Vernon still live here.

Good memories of home and days gone by! 😊
