A section of the old town road (18th century) from Phippsburg Center to Small Point (Old Augusta) is shown running across the front dooryard and trailing to the upper left corner of this photo. This road continued on over a small creek, which was dammed to allow the road to cross, just to the north of the cemetery on the north side of Phippsburg Elementary School.
