Is this what was called the game wardens camp on Pond Road, Burnham? I believe John Ford lived here as my parents began sheep farming a few lots away in 1969. His German Shepard was attacking my dads livestock and under the wardens advisement the dog was shot even though dad positively identified this dogs breed to the warden, Ford neglected to worry it mightbe his own. Ford still said shoot any animals harming your livestock. My father recounted this tale in poor taste to Johns wife Judy a chief loan officer at Bangor Savings Bank in Unity in 1999 @30 years after the shooting of the dog. The two of us were there as I was shopping for a loan for some equipment. The poor dog unfortunately received a neck wound that a Dr. Stein, another neighbor on the lake, tried his best to help this dog recover but it succumbed from complications a good while later. This is possibly Brian Kalgrens home now?
