This house and acre of land was purchased by my Mom in 1946 for back taxes ($163) and a $24 hospital bill as a summer camp. It was a 6 hour drive from Massachusetts and Mom and Dad came to Maine every Summer until they moved here permently in 1965. They added a 28' X 36' addition on the right side of the home. My wife and I live there now. Perfect spot. It's just a mile to the Penobscot River and Sandy Point Beach.
