This was the old Libby farm on RT 1 Wells. When Elsa Libby died in late 1960's she left it to a private school called Tatnic Hill for Environmental Studies, who were a bunch of intellectuals WAAAAY before their time. They were on the wave of taking more responsibility and educate awareness of the impact of humans on the earth and the damages being done.

Organic gardening, hands on building yurts, rock climbing, canoeing, weeklong camping trips , city trips, anything one could think of where they wanted to go. I was a student there from 1975-1977. Wonderful school. High School curriculum, College Prep, etc.
