My fiance and I purchased this farm (known as the Old Gates Farm) in May of 2012. It was in rough shape. We gutted and renovated the old farmhouse. All buildings shown in photo are still standing today, although they all need maintenance. They have been neglected for a good many years. A lot of history here and we have heard many stories about the farm from local people who have lived in the area all of their lives. There were many animals raised on this farm. The most unusual animals to reside here were three African Lions. We thought that was just a rumor until we stumbled upon old pictures while cleaning out the farm house. Imagine driving by this place and seeing them chained up out in the field! We have renamed the Old Gates Farm and now call it Windfield Farm. We look forward to making new memories with our family at this late 1800's farm.
