I was raised on this farm 1943 until collage, Michigan State University and the US Army. Now at 80 yrs of age I still own a 4 acre parcel on the west end of the property on Long Lake. We do not live there but have moved back to this community. My Parents, Paul and Leola Bivens lived here until they past. It was the start of my father's dream to own his own farm, which he accomplished with this and later adding a nearby farm and retired as a dairy farmer. Other siblings who lived there were Otis and Lewis Earl, Laverne, William (myself) and my sister Candace (Candy) Bivens (Danilels). In 1983 the property pictured here was sold the neighbor to the south, Tom Kobe. The homestead is now vacant but remains basically the same as this photograph.
