I believe this photo is on Seven Mile Rd, in Pinconning just south of Townline 16 on the east side of the road.

The above comment is correct. The pond in the photo is a "borrow pit", a large hole dug to use the dirt from it to build the I-75 expressway, which you can see one lane of it in the upper left corner of the photo. This used to be a farm field.
