My dad, Robert Doyen, grew up in this house at 921 W. Center Road in Essexville, Michigan. Ted and Marie Doyen lived there for years, and Marie ran a beauty shop out of the house. When my grandparents moved to farm in Cass City, Michigan - my Aunt Janet Nowosatka and her family lived lived there. The old barn no longer stands in the back yard.
