My Mom and Dad had their Honey Moon here back in 1949 when it was called the Golden Gate Lodge. They had shuffle board across the street and there was a barn where they had dancing. Plus there was a Bar down stairs which closed it's doors for business in the early 1980's.

I wonder if Sal Caruso’s Mom is Bernice? I own the house and was out front one day when an older couple stopped by that said they honeymooned at my home years ago. Sweetest couple ever.

My mother's and father's name was Sal& Katie Caruso. One of the reason's why my parents had there honey moon at the Golden Gate Lodge was because my Grandfather Caruso's 1st cousin Ray(Lefty) Caruso own the lodge at that time. I have many family photos of their honey moon at the Golden Gate Lodge. I met Ray Caruso's daughter, or my dad's 2nd cousin, Dolores De Marco (Caruso) last summer 2018 in California. She used to live there with her parents for a while when she was an older teenager in high school.
