What a farm back in the day.. Barns had fresh paint and things were happy back then. I wasn't born yet but I know it was great..

This is my family's farm... Established by my great grandfather, it was then passed down to my grandfather and now my uncle. When I was growing up it was a dairy farm. These days, there are no dairy cows, but my uncle's now grown children raise goats on the farm. I have so many great memories being raised on this land! ❤️

I worked closely with Cecil and Arlene Epple in developing a conservation plan for the farm. Over the years many many conservation practices were implemented from erosion control structures, grassed waterways and diversions to no-till farming. Later I was pleased to continue conservation efforts with their son Dan and his own young family. Later still I would be godfather to one one of Dan's daughter's children!

I was amazed to see the way things are being done today. Take a drive down Shepherd rd and see how it's being used today. I put a grass waterway in with my grandpa to keep the soil out of the river. Look at the new way today.
