This is the John Blair farm, 11991 Lansing Ave. Rives Jct. Mich. I grew up here from 1951 through 1969. The main barn was destroyed by fire in Dec. of 1969 and replaced by modern metal buildings. The farm was originally settled by the Fisher family in 1835. The Blair family was the second owner.

11991 Lansing Ave. This was originally the Fisher farm established in 1835. These buildings were the second set, built around 1889 to supplement the original home and barns immediately to the south. The large hip roof barn burned in 1969 and was replaced by a pole barn. The Fisher family owned the farm until the 1970's when it was purchased by the Blair family who had rented it beginning in 1951. The Blairs sold it to the Hurl family in 1982. It is presently owned by the Riker family. This photo was taken mid-morning in the fall of 1967. Standing in the drive above the home are John W. (Bill) Blair and John R. Blair. At the time of this photo the farm was operated as a dairy.
