Photo 42-WSH-29

My grandparents, Irvin and Dorothy Fronrath Sr., purchased this 40 acre farm along the Shiawassee River in 1942, owning it until 1996. The small building behind the barn is the chicken coop. They had cattle, chickens and a horse. The land was also farmed. My grandfather served in WW1 in Russia in the Polar Bear unit. He also worked in the bomber plant during WW2. Their son served in WW2. Their daughter is still living at age 96 (2022). My dad was the gardener. There was an Indian village on the banks of the river.
