This was (and is) the aerial view of my Uncle Charlie and Aunt Cornelia Theel's "centennial farm" on Metcalf Road, Emmet Township, St. Clair County, Michigan. The farm acreage was on both the north and south of the road. After Aunt Cornelia passed away at the age of 101, the property was divided between the two children, daughter Doris, the south side; son, Fred, the northside. Fred built a home on the north side, east end, where an old barn had once stood. His son, Stephen, also built a home of the far west property line.
