This is the old Farband Camp on Waterloo Rd., later known as Camp Ma-Hi-Ya. The buildings are long gone, and the property apparently now part of the Waterloo Recreation area, but those 3 stripes on the middle-left (shuffleboard courts) are apparently still intact.

My Grandfather(Ben Rosenthal) founded Farbond Camp

Looking for Long Lake..........

I was a camper then counselor at Camp Farband from 1961 till 1967. Some of my best memories. m52 waterloo recreational area. The lake was great fun.

I went to this camp around 1964 thru 1966. My grandmother owned a cottage there.
I remember trying to pass the raft test so I could hang out where the girls were.

I was a camper here from 1958 thru 1960. I just can't believe I so clearly remember my bunk(house) from the photo. Long Lake is behind the wooded area to the right. So many great memories: Sadie Hawkins Day, the Blue and White competition and taking long canoes to the far side of Long Lake for overnight camping. The prominent building in front was the dining room. It was old and unmodern in 1960. Wonder if it was a barn originally. Heard the prison PA system in the morning, a reality check. I envied the life guards who were tanned to a crisp. Now 60 years later hope they are OK. To answer the question above I'll say real estate stays the same but its uses change. Plan to hike the Waterloo Rec trails that skirts the property soon and tour Chelsea.

My parents Samuel Traison and Ruth Green Traison were married there by cantor mogil on June 28 1931

My parents met at Camp Farband. Celebrating their 60th anniversary this year!
