Downtown Harris Minnesota this used to be a hotel and was referred to the hotel for a long time afterward. It became a bar & grill

The building pictured is of McWilliam’s Bar in Harris which, in 2020, is currently called "The Fuse Bar & Grill"
The building pictured currently is housing “The Fuse Bar” ((44015 Forest Blvd.), Harris. It was originally Clover's Hotel (later the Harris Hotel). In the late '50s it was still called the Harris Hotel but also known as Ruby and Norm's as it was owned by Ruby and Norm Balfanz and operated as a tavern and restaurant as well as hotel.
In the 1970's and, perhaps into the 80's it the building was called Gruver’s Groover's Fantasy and later “BJ’s”. Sometime in the 1980s, it became McWilliam’s Bar and then Minke’s. Around 1990 and into the early 2000’s it was named Barbara Jean's. Before becoming “The Fuse”, it was called “Heartbreakers”.
The building to the left in the photo was built by John G Mold in 1868s as a general store called The Pioneer Store. The side building in the Pioneer Store was the post office. In 1919 the Pioneer Store was run by Mold's grandson, John G Mold. The post office was then converted to living quarters.
Around 1940 the store was sold to Hilding Peterson, his son Don operated the store until it was torn down.
