My husband grew up on this farm. we got married in 1972 and lived there for 43 1/2 years. Most of the old trees seen on the picture are gone and most of the older small buildings are gone. The house and barn and silo and garage are the only original buildings left. We raised 4 children here but they all have there lives raising there own children and have there own houses and jobs, so we just moved off the farm and sold it to a young couple. We farmed 160 acres and milked cows, as the children grew up later we rented the farm and husband went into plumbing and heating. The barn was then used as the shop for the business for many years until we sold the farm. We sold off some of the land and rented some then we sold plumbing business to oldest son and started buying and remodeling houses until 2015 and then we sold the rest of the land and sold the farm site
5 acres to the young couple. We still live in the same area but a smaller house, 3 bedroom instead of 6 bedroom and 2 acres of property.
As the years went by we took down some buildings and built some new ones. The house pretty much stayed the same just painting and flooring through the years.
Added a silo and a pole shed and grew a large windbreak north on the farm site.
