59036 373rd st eden valley mn. i grew up on this farm from 1985 - 2001. it took me awhile to notice this is the place i grew up on. in the early 80's it was owned by a faber. then in the early 90s it was bought by a buer. i have lots of memories here. and i don't ever rember it looking like this. when i was a kid and started snooping around. i rember the chicken coupe in the center of the photo and the other chicken coupe attached to it, barn, grainery, the small white shed to the left of the photo. the groups of 3 pine trees is also what helped me ID the picture. i rember climbing the trees. the 3 pine trees in the center of the page. the small right pine tree never really grew and later died. the middle one was struck by lighting so there no longer there. the 3 pine trees in between the house and the small white shed all were there tell the mid 90s when they both died. i also rember exploring in the woods. the left corn crib iv never seen. at one point in the late 80's they built 2 steel bins one for corn and one for beans on the left and right side of the right corn crib. but then was moved in the early 90s to a farm north about 5miles. my grandfather lived here tell 1988 when he passed away. but my grandmother lived there tell dec 2000 and i was forced to move out in jan 2001. after i moved out no one ever lived there again. as it stands now there are trees all around the house. basement falling in. house is in major damage.
For the most part all the buildings are still there just in a pile from falling over. the barn cement blocks and the chicken coupe block walls are still there. the grainery is still standing, there are a few buildings not in the picture. one is a pole shed that would be at the top right side, another shed just off the photo to the right side, and a garage that was behind the house. be nice to have a picture of this.........
