59036 373rd st eden valley mn. taken a few yrs before I moved in with my grand parents as a kid. I miss this place. place is over grown as I was the last person to live here in 2001.

lots and lots of memories.

we first moved in in about 1985/86 with my grand parents. to this day the pair of windows that is on the top right corner. i rember when my grand parents looked at this place to rent. I thought there was toys in the window. but it was fuses for the fuse box. and i started kindergarden at EVW at this house.

Upon moving in. i rember finding toys around the house left by the prior renters. who i never knew who it was. the little white building between the house and the barn. i have never seen it before. and was gone when we moved in. i played alot in the barn, chicken coop, woods, gainery (still had wheat up stairs) and other out buildings.

my grand father claimed he could fix the barn with the little black tool kit he had. and now i have. but he died in 1988. not at home.

the machine shed in the top right corner my uncle had stuff stored in it. and then it fell in from snow when i was in 4th grade i think so 1989 or maybe in was 1990, and it crushed my bike that i had in there. lucky the school got me a differnt bike and painted it fluorescent green. it maybe still in the gainery.

in about 1990 they put in 2 bins on either side of the corn cribs. then they later moved them out in about 1993. so then i used the cement pads as a play ground with my bike. and built a fort on them.

the barn fell in about 1991 or 1992.

i rember my uncles eating rhubarb. so they got me stuck on that. there were 2 plants one next to the driveway and the other on the front left corner of the house by the 3 evergreen trees.

the driveway would always drift in due to the driveway haveing higher banks on each side. and would be mud since there was hardly any gravel left. the basement flooded in the spring and if we got alot of rain. so i use to play with my lego boat in the basement. and i had my little red wagon id fill with sand and play with it in the entry way of the basment with my tractors.

im the first one in the area to get satellite in 1995.

i got my first 3wheeler in about 1995 as well and made trails though the woods.

lightning hit the one center evergreen tree in about 1996 and the little evergreen tree never really grew on the center lower picture.

got my first car here in 1998 and my first brand new wheeler. that i still have pictures of it next to the house with my black cat on the seat. also have a few other pictures of this place.

there are 3 pets that are buried at this place. one my grand father buried in the woods. 2 others are buried just to the west of the house by the old wood/lawn line.

in jan 2001 the power got shut off and i had to move out in feb 2001.

the power poles got removed in march 2020

there was a 1923 stamped cement block that was above the center barn door that i got to take out in may 2020. and now sits next to my front door. and i also gave a new life for the over head power wire that whent to the house to replace the ones at my current home.

to this day the house is hardly visable from the road durning the summer as the trees have over taken the house and parts of the house are in really bad shape. roof is falling in on the right side. the foundation fell in a few yrs ago. the windows were broken out in about 2007. i was upstairs a few yrs ago and it was rough then. its just to bad. was a great building suite. i still visit this place least once yr.
